2008 ART & TALENT SHOWCASE A GREAT SUCCESS      Never let it be said that Fayette County children aren't a talented bunch!  They proved that at our recent 23rd Annual Art & Talent Show.  Contestants competed for cash prizes and peer recognition.  The high school division winners were Kevin Quian - Talent and Sarah Barbour - Art.                      OUR CLUB TO HOST 2008 GEORGIA DISTRICT CONVENTION IN AUGUST      Mark you calendars for August 15-17 for a weekend of fun, fellowship and, of course, a little Kiwanis business.  Under the direction of Greg Hall, District Convention Chair, and his staff, convention planning is well underway.  The site is the Wyndham Peachtree Hotel and Conference Center in Peachtree City.  Advanced registration is a must.  Contact Mary Ann Beckham at (770) 632-0647 for additional information.

ANNUAL SPRING GOLF TOURNAMENT                   Our annual Pat Patterson Classic Spring Golf Tournament on April 23 was blessed with great weather and happy golfers.  The 4-Person Fort Lauderdale Format was held at the Flat Creek Golf Club. Cash prizes totalled $2500 to the participants.  Although final figures are not in, we may net nearly $10,000 for our project account. Chairman Bill Allen and his team did a fantastic job!              CRUISE THE MEDITERRANEAN WITH KIWANIS      Join fellow Kiwanians from Georgia and sail the Mediterranean from Venice, Italy to Barcelona, Spain on the Celebrity Summit at reduced rates.  The 12-day cruise departs on August 27, 2008.  For additional information call Tim Kangas, (770) 463-5618, or visit the following website:  www.cruiseplannersforyou.com.
